ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER

  • BARCH or MARCH Degree

  • Workplace, hospitality, or transportation project experience 

  • Experience on bldg. envelope & interior architecture projects

  • 4+ years of working experience

  • Skilled in Revit

  • Experience in Rhino

Candidate shall be fully competent architect in all conventional aspects of the subject matter or the functional area of the assignments, plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.  Devises new approaches to problems encountered. 

Performs architectural assignments under general supervision.  Selects and determines procedures in architectural matters.  Checks completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations.  

Prepares architectural plans and renderings, supervises preparation of architectural plans, consults manufacturers, evaluates and selects materials and inspects architectural features of structures in the field.

Independently performs most assignments with instructions as to the general results expected.  Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans and projects.  Capability to supervise designers on assigned work.


MID-LEVEL INTERIOR DESIGNER

  • Interior Design Degree

  • Workplace, hospitality, or transportation project experience

  • Experience on interior architecture projects

  • 4+ years of working experience

  • Skilled in Revit

  • Experience in Rhino

Candidate shall perform routine architectural assignments under direction but not immediate supervision.  Works independently to evaluate, select, compile data, and apply standard architectural techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Prepares architectural technical drawings and renderings, consults manufacturers, evaluates finish materials and furniture, inspects architectural element in the field. 

For professional developmental purposes, assignments may include some work that is typical of a higher level.

Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.  Assistance is furnished on unusual problems and is reviewed for application of sound professional judgment.

Candidate shall apply sound and diversified knowledge or architectural principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields.  Makes decisions independently on architectural problems and methods.  Requires the use of advanced techniques and the modification and extension of theories and practices. 

Supervision and guidance relate largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.  Consults with supervisor concerning unusual problems and developments. Prepares architectural technical drawings and renderings when necessary, consults manufacturers, evaluates materials, inspects architectural features of structures in the field.  

Performs important architectural work with responsibility for independent action and decision.  Plans, directs, and supervises the architectural aspects of report, design, or construction projects.  Responsible for finished plans, specifications, or approval of materials in construction administration.

Supervises, coordinates, and reviews the work of a small team of designers and as individual researcher or staff specialist, carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.

 

INTERIOR DESIGNER
